SINCERE APOLOGIES is a performance based on all the apologies that the world keeps offering – the famous, the obscure, and those that begin every second email in our inboxes. It is a work about how we say sorry, and how we really mean it. But it’s also a whole lot more – a wild interactive ride that will transform the audience into a temporary community, coming together to try to move through our collective regret into a place where we might try to fix the parts of the world that are broken. As the world burns, floods, and chokes with micro-plastics, in SINCERE APOLOGIES we dream up the apologies that we will have to deliver to our children for leaving them with such a world as this. Through hyper-personal over-sharing, to apologies of great political weight, to joyous collective karaoke, this experience is truly unique – by turns awkward, funny, unexpectedly intimate and strangely moving.
